My Story
I was introduced to video games at a young age by my parents who worked in IT. They bought me a Raspberry Pi for my fourth birthday, which I used to develop in Scratch, Java and Python over the next three years. I love playing all kinds of games from Board games like Monopoly to Roblox, Minecraft and Apex Legends. Being on the autistic spectrum, I am very detail oriented and I am blown away with the detail that is put into developing games.
Video games have had a significant impact on my life allowing me to work through stress, anxiety and occasional boredom. I particularly enjoy the competitive nature of gaming, regardless of the game so I rarely play games on my own. I love being part of a team. I like sandbox games like Minecraft and Trailmakers, as I enjoy creating and developing the characters and environments.
I was born in in the North and taken into care when I was just a few days old. Two years later, I was adopted and moved South to London. My siblings and I have a few challenges as a result of our early experiences. My motivations to be successful are heavily influenced by the rough start we experienced. My adoptive mum used a lot of art therapy for the first 5-6 years of our lives with them, to help calm us and give us focus while allowing a sense of achievement. My love of art has developed into a serious love of gaming and fascination of the skill and art that is required to create the games.
