Emotional Variation

The brief for this project was to capture a variety of emotion through one person. I asked my sister, Ashley, to model for me. She sat at a table and used her face and hands to create different emotions and gestures ranging from positive to negative.
I included as many interesting emotions as possible, one of which involved smudging mascara to resemble tears on her face to imply depression and emptiness. This is my favourite as it is the strongest example of human emotion.
I chose to shoot my images in a monochromatic effect because it highlights the intensity of how deeply humans are able to feel.
